Arkright (The House)

Arkright was an English mycologist. He was a close acquaintance of Thomas Carnacki, having met at a boarding school, and much enjoyed Carnacki's stories of the supernatural.
He was followed in his youth — and then again in adulthood — by a sentient fungus which lived around the House, a building on his family's property in Sussex. When it re-emerged, Arkright met the Seventh Doctor, who helped the pair resolve the mystery, and brought them both aboard the TARDIS for the course of the investigation. Arkright is a recurring character from the original Carnacki stories by William Hope Hodgson, being among the group of friends that Carnacki relays his adventures to.
