Atmospheric sifters were sensors used by the Genetrix probe to collect data about Venus's atmosphere. They collected carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and sulphuric acid. They unintentionally sucked up some Wispies, gaseous beings native to Venus. (PROSE: Sunset Over Venus)
