Baldassare Nicolotti

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

Baldassare Nicolotti was a member of one of the most prominent families in 16th century Venice. He got into an argument about astronomy in a bar with Galileo Galilei. Nicolotti died after Galileo threw a tankard of wine in his face because, unbeknownst to either of them, it was poisoned. (PROSE: The Empire of Glass)
