Several real-world musicians played roles in the episode's fictional band. Singer Yamit Mamo played the singer, Murray Gold, the composer of series 1 to series 10 of Doctor Who played the guitarist, and Ben Foster, the conductor and orchestrator of the BBC Wales series until series 9 was the pianist.
