Basetime

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

Basetime, also known as temporal origin, was a term used by the Time Lords to refer to the native time zones of time travellers and time-active civilisations such as themselves, from where they launched temporal interventions and observations.

In 68,633 TL, a Dalek conquest of Temporal Nexus Point Tliir was discovered by Celestial Intervention Agency operatives and reported to the CIA in basetime 101,193 TL.

In 74,513 TL, the Daleks launched their first inter-temporal intervention, against Temporal Nexus Point Bav in the year 42,005 TL. The loss of a minor-level CIA operative prompted overly hasty action by the CIA, with Lady Loribetcazistanopilain intervening in a non-violent exchange of data between the Daleks and the natives of Bav, the Ka. Projections of the results of the contact from basetime Gallifrey revealed the eventual defeat of the Daleks by the Ka, but the Loribet Intervention prevented this, assuring the quiet extinction of the promising race, though not at the hands of the Daleks.

The Dalek Problem observed that the Daleks, after developing time travel capablities, primarily used it to plunder items or resources of great worth that would benefit their plans in their basetime. (PROSE: The Dalek Problem)
