The website reported on a meteor passing over the city of Cardiff. The article featured a photo of the meteor passing over a Cardiff street. (TV: The New World) As mentioned in the article, the Torchwood Institute did indeed look into the incident, and discovered that the meteor contained a sentient gas. (TV: Day One)
- A huge fireball passed over the city of Cardiff, Wales last night causing mass hysteria. The origin of the event is unknown but is reportedly being looked into by the Torchwood Institute. Local officials had no comment.

A website similar to the BBC News site hosts the obituaries of the Bowie Base One crew in the episode The Waters of Mars. Although not identified as bbc.co.uk/news, the site has categories identical to those listed above and shares a similar layout, albeit with a turquoise colour scheme rather than the traditional BBC red.
In some cases, such as in the case of the article "Cardiff Mass Hysteria" featured in The New World, production staff continue the article using a series of random words to fill the page. For example, the sentence following the start of the article shown above was "When can an eyesight camp the manifesto?".
