Beast (Helana and the Beast)
A man was once caught in an unstable time field, which warped his DNA and turned him into a hideous beast.
Desperate for a cure to his condition, he sought the help of a scientist, whom he had imprisoned in the laboratory within his house in order to work. When the scientist's daughter Helana came searching for him, she offered herself to the beast, within whom she sensed kindness, for companionship in exchange for her father's freedom, to which he sorrowfully agreed, upon learning that her father's attempts to find a cure proved to no avail.
After days of living with and growing closer to Helana, his long awaited salvation from his beastly form arrived in the form of a temporal antidote that Helana offered to him. As he tried to thank her for saving him, she tried to explain that it was all thanks to the mysterious "librarian" she had befriended, before realising he had vanished. (PROSE: Helana and the Beast)
Appearance[[edit] | [edit source]]
In his mutated form, the beast was described as having the appearance of a cross between a man, a bear, and a lion. He had deep-set red eyes and a dark snout, surrounded by a face covered in thick, matted fur, and paws with long, sharp claws.
His human form was described as exactly that: a man with standard human features such as hands and a nose, with a natural eye colour of blue. (PROSE: Helana and the Beast)
Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]
The beast is based upon the titular creature of the fairy tale, Beauty and the Beast.
