Belen was a woman who lived in Africa in 3181. Her children were Virginia and Spyrin. They were among the fifty-three survivors of an attack on Earth by the Huyfbfgriniotites. The survivors were telepathically linked to each other.
Virginia met the Seventh Doctor and Ace when the TARDIS brought them to the settlement. Ace told Virginia all about Christmas, and the survivors expected a visit from Saint Nicholas. (PROSE: Instead of You)
