A blues singer performed on the Dockery Plantation in the Mississippi Delta in 1931.
According to the Talent Scout, he was not a very good performer until he went out in the bayou at midnight and made a deal. Six days later, a young boy described his performance as "lightnin', thunder and the rains all come at once". (COMIC: What He Wants...)
