Calcium decay was a condition which affected Raxacoricofallapatorians, who were calcium-based life forms. When members of the Slitheen family used compression fields to fit themselves into human skin suits, it caused a condition called "gas exchange" which made their farts smell like bad breath from the calcium decay.
