As a child, Roger ap Gwilliam went to watch the Bluebirds play once a month at Cardiff City Stadium with his father. (PROSE: 73 Yards [+]Loading...{"page":"124","1":"73 Yards (novelisation)"})
In an ultimately-undone timeline, Roger returned to the stadium a few days after his victory with the Albion Party in the 2046 general election and ascendancy to the office of Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. He picked the venue himself, despite it being able to hold over 38,000 people (though Craig Deloach stated it held around 50,000 including space on the pitch) compared to over twice that at Cardiff's Principality Stadium, as he didn't want to risk looking too ostentatious. At the event, the stadium was covered in billboards with Gwilliam's name and the Albion slogan, with the word "CARDIFF" visible along the seats of the Ninian Stand and the goalposts removed near the Canton Stand toward the north-east to make way for a stage with two large display screens. Albion logos were affixed to the back of every seat, including on the Grandstand. Despite not being allowed on the pitch during preparations, Ruby stepped onto the stadium's pitch and walked until she was exactly 73 yards away from Roger. This allowed the mysterious woman who had been following her to influence Roger, causing him to sprint out of the stadium and resign as Prime Minister 50 minutes later.
