Carla Morgan lived in a world in which Sarah Jane Smith died as child in 1964.
Morgan was born in 1951, the same year as her friend Sarah Jane. After Sarah Jane fell to her death from the edge of Westport pier on 13 July 1964, Morgan was affected by her friend's demise and continued to think of her for decades.
By 2005, she had posted a poem titled An Ode To Sarah Jane on her personal weblog. Carla Morgan was also noted for her love of kittens, which she displayed everywhere on her blog.
