Category:Anti-gravitational technology

Anti-gravitational technology are devices and concepts whose purpose was to change the normal effect of gravity. While many vehicles could be said to "defeat gravity", this category is not for vehicles, unless they actually work in a way that appears to manipulate gravity in a way that cannot be replicated using real world science. Airplanes, for instance, do not work against gravity, but instead use the laws of gravity to achieve flight. The Doctor's anti-gravity motorbike, by contrast does appear to have a mode of operation which actually defeats gravity.

This category is for devices and component parts which produce a fantastical, anti-gravitational effect, not merely those things that achieve flight. Indeed, "anti-gravitational effect" can work both ways: it can make an object either lighter or heavier.
