- No. Fruit is only used as a collective noun when referring to one type of fruit. We say "my favourite fruits are apples and bananas", not "my favourite fruit is oranges and pears". By definition, this category is referring to many types of fruits and as such, we need to use the plural form of the world. I recently replaced Category:Fruit with Category:Fruits, but I haven't yet done this one. Anoted ☎ 15:47, May 3, 2013 (UTC)
