People from the real world encountered by Iris Wildthyme[[edit source]]
Now, it's not too unreasonable to think that Category:People from the real world encountered by Panda and Category:People from the real world encountered by Iris Wildthyme would have a lot of overlap, however they have had their share of solo adventures, in which they meet people the other doesn't. - It might be worth noting that the only such categories that exist are Category:People from the real world encountered by Iris Wildthyme and Category:People from the real world encountered by the Doctor. There are certainly others that could be considered, but it might be a bit much to start creating these categories for companion characters. Danochy ☎ 12:55, August 7, 2020 (UTC)

- Understandable, but Panda has his share of solo adventures where he meets a plethora of people which Iris doesn't. Epsilon the Eternal ☎ 15:59, August 7, 2020 (UTC)
- Sure, but the same can apply to some of the Doctor's companions. There might well be some pages that don't overlap, but we are not looking to make these categories for any character that isn't the head of a franchise. Jack Harkness, sure, but not Panda or Ace, or we reach T:OVER-CAT territory.
× SOTO (☎/✍/↯) 19:44, August 7, 2020 (UTC)- Agreed, and this also applies to Category:Locations visited by Panda and several pages in Category:Stories by featured characters, as we have previously discussed. Danochy ☎ 12:04, September 23, 2020 (UTC)
- I can't see any rule in T:OVER-CAT that specifies that companions can't have their own categories. Epsilon (Contact me) 12:11, September 23, 2020 (UTC)
- Thread:139802 is somewhat relevant in that it decided that only series leads should get [companion stories] categories. It might logically follow that this should apply to locations visited by said characters. In saying that, this category is BTS, while the categories discussed in that thread are in-universe, so it's not cut and dried. Danochy ☎ 12:45, September 23, 2020 (UTC)

I've found a thread directly related to this topic. Thread:169815 warrranted the creation of Bernice Summerfield, Iris Wildthyme, and River Song should all be created, but that any further categories should be decided on a case-by-case basis. It should probably be decided in a thread, because if this category is kept, it would allow the creation of categories for almost every companion - a potentially far-reaching event.
