Rename

Supremacy of the Cybermen releases would be a more suitable name for this category page. I've just created a separate category for Supremacy of the Cybermen stories, as this category once contained both pages on the mini-series' stories, and the actual issues that these stories were released in. I felt that having a category distinguishing the series' stories from the mediums in which they were published would create better clarity between the two in this category. In my opinion, this category should be used exclusively for pages on the mediums that Supremacy of the Cybermen was published in, and therefore a rename would be appropriate. Btw make sure you create category talk pages at [[Category talk:Page name]]. This isn't your fault, it's the fault of the rename template as I've outlined at Template talk:Rename. I don't really have much to say on the proposal itself, although I would argue that this category should also cover the people involved in the release and not just related releases. I noticed the discrepancy with the name of the talk page and where it links back to shortly after starting this discussion. It did annoy me quite a lot for a while. I've noticed a similar problem with the talk page at [[Category:Daleks from other dimensions]]; it's named incorrectly and doesn't link back to the actual category page that is being discussed, which is also something I accidentally caused. Regardless, at least it's not technically my fault.

But, more importantly, your point about this category also covering the production crew of Supremacy of the Cybermen has made me wonder: how about actually leaving this category's name as it is, but have it serve as a sort of umbrella category for the rest of the pages concerning Supremacy of the Cybermen. As for the production crew of Supremacy, we could have an extra category specifically for the crew themselves, which could then be placed in this category. The rest of Supremacy's categories could also be featured here, alongside a separate category featuring the mediums that Supremacy and its prologues were printed in. This would help streamline the categories further to better distinguish between the mini-series' stories, crew, releases, etc.

And on a final note, I think creating a page covering Supremacy of the Cybermen as an actual series would also be beneficial. Thalek Prime Overseer ☎ 22:39, 14 August 2021 (UTC)

Agreed with everything you've said here. Supremacy of the Cybermen (series) is an excellent suggestion, and I'm surprised it doesn't exist yet! That would make the whole thing a lot easier to read about for visitors to the wiki. Danochy ☎ 22:48, 14 August 2021 (UTC)

Cool stuff. I'll begin making Supremacy of the Cybermen (series) soon. Seeing as it may be best to leave this category's name as it is, if I remove the rename tag, what happens to this page? If it incorrectly links to Supremacy of the Cybermen (comic story) then will this discussion end up on that page's talk page? Or will this cease to exist entirely?
