Chalmers was the Prime Minister's aide on Loam. The Prime Minister asked him what was flying past his window, and Chalmers identified it as ex-Prime Minister Baroness Hellyer and a friend flying through the city in "some sort of... winged chariot". The Prime Minister told Chalmers not to wave at them, but turn away, because the Prime Minister wanted to face the end of the world with his sanity intact. (COMIC: The Woman Who Sold the World)
