Charlie Adlard, a British comic book artist, drew the Doctor Who comic stories Rest and Re-Creation and The Naked Flame.

He has been drawing comics professionally since the early 1990s. His earliest work was on "Judge Dredd" and "Armitage" for the Judge Dredd Megazine, and Warheads for Marvel UK, both in 1992. In 1995 he illustrated a graphic novel, Playing the Game, written by novelist Doris Lessing and published by HarperCollins. Since then he has drawn "Nikolai Dante" and "Savage" for 2000 AD, and the first world war graphic novel White Death (1998), with writer Robbie Morrison, in the UK, and Mars Attacks, The X-Files and The Walking Dead, among others, in the USA.
