Checkley's World

Checkley's World, or the Horror Planet, was settled in 2290. It was determined to be ideal for special advance scientific research. By 2300, the laboratories there were no longer under state control. Some of the defence systems they developed were Freire's gas, compression grenades and Hercules Devastators.

Project FXX Q84 was the culmination of their genetic research. In 2389, Sheldukher raided the planet and stole the Project to help him find Sakkrat. Unable to find the criminal, the owners of Checkley's World found Hogsumm and modified it to closely resemble the legends of Sakkrat, hoping to lure Sheldukher there and recover the Project. Before that happened, however, Checkley's World was destroyed in a misdirected missile attack. (PROSE: The Highest Science)
