Chesterton Award

The Chesterton Award was a bursary award given out for scientific achievements. The prize was worth half a million pounds.
The winner in 2010 was Owen Stanford's team, though many believed that Leonard Pallister was a shoo-in to win. When Owen's team seemed to go missing, Theo Lawson believed that Leonard had killed them in revenge. In fact, they had slept in and then left the conference to have breakfast. The name of the award is a reference to Ian Chesterton, one of the original companions of the First Doctor, and a science teacher.
