The Chiasm was a junction of interdimensional networks and corridors that allowed for instantaneous travel over long distances of space.
The Fifth Axis tried to connect the Braxiatel Collection to the Chiasm, but a disturbance centred on the Small Trianon caused the buildings to rearrange themselves and the people to lose their memories. The Axis had to disconnect the Collection from the Chiasm. (PROSE: Fear of Corners)
