Cleopatra's Needle

Cleopatra's Needle was a London monument erected in the 19th century. It stood near the River Thames.

After finding that Nelson's Column had a missile inside it on 23 October 1843, the Fifth Doctor considered checking the needle in case it too had been altered. (AUDIO: The Lions of Trafalgar)

In the late 1990s, the assorted audience members of Glamorama convened at the monument, before being picked up by a golden double decker bus.

The production of This Morning later moved into a studio on the opposite side of the River Thames from the monument. (PROSE: Hospitality)
