Colin Salmon (born 6 December 1962[1]) is a British actor who played Doctor Moon in the Doctor Who television stories Silence in the Library and Forest of the Dead. He also voiced Trooper Salway in the Big Finish Doctor Who audio story Wirrn Dawn.

Salmon was one of many actors rumoured by the UK media to be in the running to play the Eleventh Doctor.[2] Interestingly, Steven Moffat privately intended the Doctor Moon's intelligence to have been the mind of the Doctor uploaded into the artifical moon after the final death of the 45th Doctor, meaning Salmon actually played the Doctor in 2008 — though this information is not considered valid on this Wiki for in-universe articles due to not coming from a story.
