The Eighth Doctor owned a model replica of the New York Central's Commodore Vanderbilt, and used it as part of his model train set. It was a locomotive. The Doctor carefully hid the wires and control circuitry beneath the surface of his model railway.
The model train was run by an inch-tall toy engineer, who had blond hair and wore a blue-and-white engineer's cap. The figure's outfit was comparable to that of an Edwardian cricketeer. (PROSE: Model Train Set)
