Consumption of Peladon

The Consumption of Peladon was an incident during the Last Great Time War between the Daleks and Time Lords, specifically during the Barber-Surgeon's campaign. The incident saw (AUDIO: The Mission) the planet (TV: The Monster of Peladon) Peladon "consumed", which had a major impact on the War Doctor. He declared it the moment the Barber-Surgeon, a renegade Time Lord who was a threat to both the Daleks and Time Lords, showed him "how black this war could be". Indeed, the Eleventh General noticed a change in the Doctor's character after the consumption, noting that "whatever the [Barber-Surgeon] did" pushed the Doctor to further become the warrior the armed forces of Gallifrey hoped he could be. However, the General was disturbed by that change in the Doctor's character and discussed it with him before his mission to assassinate the Barber-Surgeon. (AUDIO: The Mission)
