Cornelia Lively was an experienced medium and writer who contributed to The Horrible Book of Terror.

Her published works were claimed to have been inspired by the spirits of Jane Austen, Oscar Wilde, Robert Louis Stevenson and Mary Shelley, among others. However Cassandra discovered that these claims were fraudulent and that the deceased writers were not happy about them.

During a visit to Soames Towers alongside all of the other contributors to the Horrible Book of Terror, Cornelia clashed with Dodie Golightly and used a Soul Catcher to absorb the spirit of Lady Lucrezia Noggins. The orb containing Lucrezia's essence was later smashed by Magda Soames as ritualistic sacrifice. (AUDIO: Mystery Lady)
