Cyril was a scientist who worked at the BBC Television Centre during Red Nose Day 1991, at least as depicted in a book.

Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]

On Red Nose Day 1991, Cyril was present in the BBC TV Dept. of Gunk, where he worked on the gunk tank alongside Arthur. He and Arthur received several hygienically sealed packages from a variety of celebrities during the lead-up to Red Nose Day, apparently including the charm which Nigel Havers and Charles Dance had left on the floor after they'd "gone and done it".

As they were in need of celebrity volunteers for a test of the tank, and Lenny Henry realised he was needed on the next page, Jonathan Ross was placed over the tank, with Cyril telling the readers that nothing will happen to Ross, and that it was just their little joke.
