D. Sinclair was a CIA agent who translated a phrase for Rex Matheson from both Mandarin and Wu Chinese to English. As Sinclair wrote in an email to Matheson, the sentence in the original Wu dialect said "The Blessing saved my life", but was Harry Boscoed into reading in Mandarin as, "It's a blessing my life was saved", and finally in English as, "It's a godsend that my life was saved."
