DV Acrol 8 was a planet which neighboured the asteroid Gaveston. Cyrian, originally from Gaveston, was stranded on DV Acrol 8 after his spaceship crashed. Pursued by Cybermen, he was rescued by the the Rani who took him aboard her TARDIS to become her travelling companion, though in effect he became a servant.
