"Daffodil" was the alias of a reader of Mickey Smith's website, Who is Doctor Who?.

On 2 April 2005, the new webmaster of Who is Doctor Who? thanked Daffodil for their help with that week's update. (PROSE: The Doctor Was Involved in the Dummy Massacre)
In late 2006, Daffodil contacted Mickey Smith to take a closer look at the Guinevere website, as the Guinevere probe wasn't all it seemed. (PROSE: Mars)

Although similar in nature to the user-created characters in The Doctor Was Involved in the Dummy Massacre, Daffodil was included in the main text of the story and therefore was created by the BBC webteam.
