Dalek, I Love You was a radio play broadcast on BBC Radio 7 in 2006. Its script was written by Colin Sharpe. It starred Charlie Hardwick, David Raynor and Fiona Clarke.

A young Dr Who obsessive gets more than he bargains for when he meets his very own Dr Who Girl. But is she real or imagined?

24-year-old Nigel English and his mother, Maggie, argue over whether he should go to a Doctor Who convention in London, as he was – and remains – horribly upset by his experience at a previous con in Birmingham. Nigel reassures his mum that he'll be all right.
At the convention, Nigel meets an eccentric young woman named Isabella Italy, who calls herself Romana. She suggests she visit his hotel room, and despite his objections (which he ascribes to concerns over breaking the hotel's rules), she appears there that night. Romana encourages Nigel to use his imagination to describe what he sees in the darkness, and in the ensuing conversation it transpires that Nigel regards the Doctor, specifically his third incarnation, as his father.
Some time later, Romana comes to visit Nigel (whom she now addresses as Adric) and Maggie in Newcastle. She immediately makes a bad impression on Maggie by exacerbating Nigel's tendency to constantly refer to Doctor Who, as well as being nosy and morbid and oversharing. Maggie expects Romana to stay for a weekend, but after a week, she shows no signs of leaving. Maggie confronts her, and the two end up discussing Nigel's father. Maggie explains that he was a RADA-trained stage actor from London who later appeared in two episodes of Doctor Who during the second or third Doctor's era. She once mentioned this to Nigel, which originated both his fantasy of the Doctor being his father and his obsession with attending Doctor Who conventions.
Nigel arrives mid-conversation, and Romana convinces him to run away with her, having previously convinced him to stop taking his psychiatric medication and that Maggie is "the enemy" who is trying to suppress him.
