In an alternate timeline, residents of Bristol with nowhere else to go were evacuated to Newcastle after the crash of the Dalek war saucer, including Bill Potts and Moira, where they lived with Angelo Rossi.
After Angelo was detained by the British government to "aid in their investigation" after the Prime Minister's assassination, Bill was sent to a military school for re-education a "long way away". Moira was taken in at the same time.
