Dalek spaceship (Daleks' Invasion Earth 2150 A.D.)

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

A Dalek spaceship, commanded by a Red Dalek, on behalf of the Gold Dalek, oversaw the Daleks' occupation of Earth in 2150. Tom Campbell described it as a flying saucer.

When Dr. Who and his companions arrived in 2150, the saucer transported a fresh group of Robomen to the mine in Bedfordshire. When sabotage resulted in the magnetic forces of the Earth's core being unleashed against the Daleks, the ship took off in an attempt to escape but its engines were unable to counter the magnetism and it crashed. (TV: Daleks' Invasion Earth 2150 A.D.)

The Dalek Survival Guide indicated that this version of the Dalek Invasion Force was from a version of reality "B" relative to the First Doctor's version of reality "A". (PROSE: Dalek Survival Guide)

Interior[[edit] | [edit source]]

The Dalek spaceship itself had many corridors, a landing/boarding ramp, prison cells, and even a robotization room used to turn humans that have passed the intelligence test into Robomen. (TV: Daleks' Invasion Earth 2150 A.D.) There was also a spacious room that served as the galley and sleeping area for the Daleks Robomen serpents. (TV: Daleks' Invasion Earth 2150 A.D.) The ship also has a spacious main bridge featuring numerous control consoles as well as advanced sensors and communications arrays. (TV: Daleks' Invasion Earth 2150 A.D.)

Armament & Technical Specifications[[edit] | [edit source]]

Being a somewhat small, yet large vessel, the Dalek spaceship was capable of entering and landing on a planet’s atmosphere. (TV: Daleks' Invasion Earth 2150 A.D.) The Dalek saucer itself was quite agile enough to catch up to even a fleeing van. (TV: Daleks' Invasion Earth 2150 A.D.) It’s only armament was some form of plasma like energy. Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]

Doctor Who and the Dalek Invasion of Earth.

A drawing of this "saucer" appeared on the cover of the Doctor Who and the Dalek Invasion of Earth novelisation even though the book's content drew from the television version.

The comic prequel Daleks Versus the Martians features a similar saucer.
