Dalmatia was a part of the Roman Empire by at least 64 AD. During this century, the Roman army had put down rebellions in various parts of the empire, including in Dalmatia. (PROSE: Byzantium!) It was located across the sea from Rome and north of Macedonia. (AUDIO: I, Rorius)
