Death-dealing was a legally-sanctioned occupation on the market world to which the Fourth Doctor once took Leela. Its practitioners were called death-dealers. The profession involved actually killing people and then quickly bringing them back to life, with the object being to allow the customer to safely experience death. Jason, a lizard-like death-dealer, once killed Leela with a handsome dagger dipped in fast-acting poison, then brought her back to life because the blade was also coated with microscopic healing robots.
