This topic might have a better name.

Cybermen Monster File (novel): "Doctor Who" prefixes aren't to be used in titling pages about individual works. Also, if this is an ebook, surely we should dab it as a "(novel)". In an event we should dab it as something to make it easier to tell it apart from the webcast.

Talk about it here.

Doctor Who: Cybermen Monster File was an "interactive ebook" app created by the BBC and distributed internationally by BBC Worldwide, promoted as "the ultimate interactive history of one of the Doctor's most famous foes."

Launched on 2 July 2014, it boasted clips, photos and in-depth information covering "every version" of the Cybermen. The app also hosted an exclusive story entitled Cybermen: Status Update, written by Joseph Lidster and narrated by Cybermann voice actor Nicholas Briggs.

The Cybermen Monster File also offered galleries and "the real life story behind the metal monsters". It featured "interactive sections on the world of the Cybermen, where everything from Handles to Cybermats and the CyberKing is investigated - as well as quizzes about the Time Lord's old enemies."

The ebook was released globally and became available for free to licence fee payers in the UK-only for 30 days - after which it became available to buy on iTunes, Android stores, the Kindle Fire App and Google Play.

Notably, the Monster File refered to different "Marks" of Cybermen: the original Cybermen introduced in The Tenth Planet (1966) were identified as Mark I, Mark II refered to the Cybermen introduced in The Moonbase (1967), Mark III to the Cybermen introduced in The Invasion (1969), Mark IV to the Cybermen introduced in Earthshock (1982), Mark V to the Cybus Industries Cybermen introduced in Rise of the Cybermen (2006) and Mark VI to the Cyberiad Cybermen introduced in Nightmare in Silver (2013).
