Doctor X in an Amazing Adventure in Space was the first book ever published about the television series, Doctor X, released in 1964. Andy Hansen and Erimem travelled back to 1964 to track down a copy of the book for Andy's younger brother Matt. With Doctor X serving as an equivalent to Doctor Who within the Doctor Who universe, Doctor X in an Amazing Adventure in Space is a clear analogue to the serial Doctor Who in an Exciting Adventure with the Daleks, the first ever Doctor Who novel which was published in 1964.
Notably, both the Doctor Who series and Doctor Who in an Exciting Adventure with the Daleks also exist within the DWU.
