Professor Dorothy Smith-Smith (also known as Dot) was a colonist on Yemaya 4, an archaeologist and the mother of Kylie.
She had been deaf since birth. The psychic virus gave her telepathy, and she was nearly overwhelmed by all the voices in her head. When she tried reading the Seventh Doctor's mind to find out what he knew about the virus, she was driven nearly insane by the knowledge she acquired. (PROSE: SLEEPY)
