Dr. What and His Time Clock was a series of comics published in Boys' World and Cor!!.

It was one of the first Doctor Who parodies ever made, being published only six months after An Unearthly Child aired in 1963. It also predated the First Doctor's first comic appearance in The Klepton Parasites.

Overview[[edit] | [edit source]]

The first Dr. What and His Time Clock was serialised in Boys' World volume 2 from issues 22 to 40. This story was reprinted in the Cor!! Summer Special 1972 with a number of changes. The panels were edited to fit the A4 page size, years were updated from 1964 and 2064 to 1972 and 2072, and some background details were removed or added.

A second Dr. What and His Time Clock was written but went unpublished until it was printed in the Cor!! Annual 1974. Dr. What also appears in the Jasper the Grasper comic published in the annual.[1]
