History[[edit] | [edit source]]

In a story told by an elderly man to a clan of Vikings, Drostan was an Anglo-Saxon storyteller who sought to forge his own story. During his quest he discovered that several people had been erased from the tapestry of time, including a young girl called Katya, a beggarman from Diss and a Priest of Odin. After spending time with Vikings, Drostan concluded that a Blood Witch had made a deal with the Norse deity Hel to use the sword Famine to cut unsuspecting people out of existence. He later confronted the Witch but found himself overpowered, the Witch revealed that he had given her power to enter the world through his stories shortly before defeating him. It was later alluded that the old man telling the story to the Vikings was Drosten himself, attempting in vain to keep himself alive in the form of story. (PROSE: Storyteller)

The Blood Witch eventually died and found herself resurrected in the City of the Saved, she acknowlegded that Drosten would never find himself resurrected there as he existed purely as a story and stories couldn't die. However, a newly created weapon - that was said to be hard to aim - meant that stories themselves could be killed. Drosten was later killed by the weapon and resurrected in the City himself, the Witch wondered if he'd remember her. (PROSE: A Hundred Words from a Civil War)
