Duke (Going Once, Going Twice)

A "lesser Duke" accompanied the Ice Heiress and her Ice Drones to the First Auction in Heaven.

He attempted to contain the Heiress's eccentricities, persuading her to leave while she was on top rather than keep bidding on ever more items. The Heiress, on the other hand, did not seem to care for the Duke, whom she tried using as a living shield when the Ice retinue faced attack from Kifah and Gustav of Faction Paradox.

At any rate, the Duke proved to have been too slow still in advising the Heiress to leave, as the two were still on Kratoam when Apep's arising and then death caused temporal disturbances which destroyed the entire Auction. The Duke was regressed into "a fat foetus" and then ceased to exist completely, moment after the Heiress had turned to dust. (PROSE: Going Once, Going Twice)
