Eighth Army

The Eighth Army was a unit of the British Army which fought in North Africa in World War II. Sam Bishop's great-grandfather served as soldier in the Eighth Army, fighting in battlefronts such as El Alamein, Tobruk, and Gazala. Following the war, he would regale the young Sam Bishop with war stories of his time there, inspiring him to eventually join UNIT. (AUDIO: Earthfall)
