Embery was the leader of Aoris in Era 14. He was experimenting with time travel to fight the war against the future. He showed Romana II his time delayed bombs and wanted her to help him. With Romana's help, he conducted an experiment but this blew up his lab. (AUDIO: The Paradox Planet)
A years after Romana's escape, the Doctor arrived as an ambassador from the future. Embery tortured Fyrax to get information about time travel. The Doctor built his a field interface stabiliser. The Doctor took him to Era 24 to see the folly of the experiments. He was killed by Drang. (AUDIO: Legacy of Death)
