Emmett Till

Emmett Till was an African-American teenager from the northern United States, who visited Mississippi on vacation in 1955, where he "had words" with a white woman. Given the high amount of racism in the Southern American states, Till was later murdered, his body being found in a river.
His death was reported in newspapers, which Rosa Parks read in Alabama. She spoke of his death to the Thirteenth Doctor and her companions, as a means of warning to Ryan Sinclair after he was slapped by Mr. Steele. (TV: Rosa [+]Loading...["Rosa (TV story)"])

Tosin Cole, who played Ryan, would later appear in the 2022 biographical drama film, Till, in the role of civil rights activist, Medgar Evers.
