Fenn Martle was an adjudicator. He spent at least fifteen years on Earth in his role as an adjudicator.
During those years he had a squire, Roz Forrester; they were lovers for most of that time.
He started taking bribes. Roz discovered that he was doing so and killed him using a vibroknife.
He was, whether aware or not, actually being bribed to work for Tobias Vaughn. (PROSE: Original Sin)
