Forum:Achievement icons have black backgrounds post MW 1.19
If this thread's title doesn't specify it's spoilery, don't bring any up.
I have today reported as a bug the issue of Game of Rassilon badges having a black background. It's a thorny issue because there's no pattern to what's going on. Some of the icons — usually, but not always, the bronzes — behave properly and are transparent. The others — usually, but not always, silvers and golds — have an annoying black background that's just plain ugly.
I've gone around to other wikis to see what's happening, and there's no pattern there, either. w:c:avatar is having no issues at all, while w:c:lego is only having the issue on their custom badges — but black backgrounds are on all of their custom badges.
I've no idea what the problem is, but now that I've filed an actual bug report, hopefully answers will be forthcoming.
In the meantime, I ask all admin to not edit Special:AchievementsCustomize in any way. Please don't add or subtract any editing tracks, nor mess with any individual graphics. By leaving it alone, we'll stand a better chance of diagnosing the problem.

- UPDATE: Just received word today that a fix is on its way. In the meantime, no new editing tracks will be added. We're also advised that simply re-uploading the images won't make the problem abate. The issue has been prioritised somewhat, but we're still going to have to live with the black backgrounds for a bit. Admin, please don't mess with the Game of Rassilon in any way.
