Am I the only one who thinks some of the new categories are a bit redundant? Things like Myths and legends and Humanoid species are fine, it's just things like Partially cyberconverted humans, Human variants and Temporal theory seem far too specific to be helpful. I'm not if just I'm cranky from lack of sleep or if there really is a problem with these categories. Azes13 14:21, 1 January 2007 (UTC)

I agree. They're only useful if quite a lot of pages are going to fall in to these categories. --Mantrid 19:03, 1 January 2007 (UTC)

guilty party here. I just thought that I would add some highly specific categories in the event of this Wiki getting much more expanded. if or when that happens, a lot more information from the voluminous quantity of WHO works and spin-off will happen and so the need for more specialization. I agree, I did make some pretty stupid categories but also some good ones. "Human variants" simply means species related to humans. "Human species" to me sounds like *the* human species, i.e. Homo sapiens, not multiple species of human, if you get my gist. As for temporal theory, i think the entries currently going into the time travel category would go there, like on paradox, et cetera, leaving the rest of the category free to have sub-categories, such as time travelling individuals (other than Time Lords, et cetera). --216.177.2.141 02:59, 6 January 2007 (UTC);
Yes, I agree, 216.177.2.154 has been making most of these categories, most of which seem to be useless. Perhaps we should speak to him/her/it about it in his/her/its talk page... ~ Ghelæ -talk-contribs 19:11, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
Excellent, other people agree. I thought I was just being a bastard about it. What do you say we move the categories to Proposed deletions and work it out from there? Azes13 19:35, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
Good idea, I'll get started on it now. It'll give me something else to do, seeming as Torchwood isn't on for another 80 minutes... ~ Ghelæ -talk-contribs 20:10, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
Ok, I've shifted a load of categories to proposed deletions, and as far as I'm aware made by 216.177.2.*. Now what? ~ Ghelæ -talk-contribs 20:18, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
Okay, I went a bit overboard with adding pages. Anyway, if anyone thinks that they are needed, just bring it up on the talk page. If not, we'll just dump the lot. Azes13 21:28, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
Just delete them, I doubt anybody has any problems with them being deleted (except the people who're gonna have to clear up all the mess from special:wantedcategories, but it'll give me something to do). ~ Ghelæ -talk-contribs 12:23, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
