Ok anyone know if the horned helmetted ones in the Banqueting Hall in Warrior's Gate are Gundans or simply 'Gundan Robots' or 'Gundan Warrior Robots'? I always thought the later, someone must have built them 'cos they're not that bright! and it would seem to make more sense? Any thoughts....? The Librarian 01:53, September 6, 2009 (UTC)

The Doctor says at one point "stop that Gundan!". The Gundan's dialogue would probably reveal the actual name. I'm a little vague on it. 'Gundan Warrior Robots' sounds familiar though I'm not sure if it's from a reference book (and that's why the phrase sounds familiar). --Tangerineduel 17:41, September 30, 2009 (UTC)
Are you sure you're not thinking of Raston Warrior Robot?
The Gundan never refer to themselves as anything but Gundan (and the plural is the same as the singular). Here's a full quote of all of their dialog from the three part:
Gundan: We are Gundan. We exist to kill. Slaves made the Gundan to kill the brutes who rule.
The Doctor: What brutes?
Gundan: The Gundan were sent where no slaves could go. We faced the Time Winds, and we lived! They had only the Gateway, to flee for safety.
The Doctor: What gateway?
Gundan: Gateway. Gateway. Gateway.

Gundan: There were always slaves, from the beginning of time. The masters descended out of the air, riding the wind, and took men as their prize, growing powerful on their stolen labors, and their looted skills.
The Doctor: I'm sure this is frightfully interesting, but could you get back onto the bit about the gateway please?
Gundan: The masters created an empire, draining the life of the ordinary world.
The Doctor: Your ordnary world. I am from N-space.
Gundan: They came... from the Gateway.
The Doctor: A-ha.
Gundan: There are three physical Gateways. There are three, and the three are one.
The Doctor: Well--
Gundan: The whole of this domain. The ancient arch. The mirrors.
The Doctor: The thing is, it's not actually a physical gateway I'm looking--
Gundan: All the Gateways are one.

The Doctor: All the Gateways are one. All the Gateways are one. (to the Traders) I'm The Doctor, by the way, and this is K-9, and we just--
Gundan: There are three physical Gateways, and the three are one. This is the place from which the masters came. Here, a great empire once stood, ruling all known space. For all their skills, the slaves could not approach the Gateway in their own persons. But once they learned its secret, we were built--the Gundan robots, to wage war on them.
Chief Trader: The secret of the Gateway?
Gundan: The secret of the Gateway is--

By the way, does anyone know if Aqua Teen Hunger Force's Robotic Ghost of Christmas Past (you know, the metal chicken thing who starts off with "Thousands of years ago") is a deliberate parody of the Gundan? The voice is very similar. He tells a similarly rambling story about the past that nobody asked about, involving slavery and rebellion. He answers questions with non-sequiturs, and says things that sound like nonsense. At one point, Frylock even says, "I'm sure that's all very interesting." --99.170.146.147 08:05, December 28, 2009 (UTC)
