What is this wiki's views on Images? i ask because I think that the City of Death page has far too many for one article. My opinion is that there should be a limit. one main image for the story, plus one image per aired episode seems to be a good idea. Jack's the man - 14:45, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
- I agree, one picture within the infobox and one image per episode is about the norm (somewhere I think in the manual of style it gives The Tenth Planet as an example, which still stands as a good example). The plot for the City of Death also needs to be thinned down / re-written so it's not such a bit ripoff of the DW reference guide, it's also a little too long for the page (even without the pictures). --Tangerineduel 17:05, 23 April

I agree some pages have toom many pictures (City of Death definetly). But what about the new series which is just one episode stories what is the image count policy for theese?--Skittles the hog 15:42, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
- I don't think there's such a thing as "too many images", so long as it all fits the text. I abhor the use of the <gallery> function. Given the relative complexity of original series plots, one image per episode is simply not enough. One image per subplot, maybe. CzechOut ☎ | ✍ 07:56, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
- I belive that the number of picture should be determined by the length of the article the bigger the article the more pictures should be used. Dark Lord Xander 07:59, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
- Indeed. I think the number of pictures is relative to the amount of text in the article. City of Death is practically begging for more pictures at this point. (I don't know what it looked like when the above comments were made.) Right now, there are only three pictures in the text, and given the substance of the plot description, it's just way too few. Pictures definitely help the eye deal with large blocks of text. One per episode might work on The Seeds of Doom in its current form, but it's clearly not enough for City of Death. - While we're on this subject, I'd like a ban on "colorized" images of black and white episodes, as seen in The Space Pirates, Marco Polo and others. Those stories broadcast and captured in black and white shouldn't be represented by color images. Also, the size of in-context images should be that delivered by the standard "thumb" parameter. 08:08, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

- Agreed for black and white serials black and white pictures should be used unless the episode is missing and none are available (although i don't think this is the case with any) Dark Lord Xander 08:13, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
- Definiteley agree with regards to the colourised images, there shouldn't be any on any of the story pages. --Tangerineduel 15:32, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
