Venice Beach, the base of operations for the new Torchwood in Torchwood: Miracle Day is clearly within a relatively short distance of central LA, but is it ever stated to be a part of the city within the show? A quick search on Wikipedia clearly places it inside the city, but I'm wondering if any dialogue in Torchwood confirmed that. -- Tybort (talk page) 00:33, August 19, 2011 (UTC)

I think we can assume that. I'm pretty sure both Rex Matheson calling Vera Juarez and Gwen Cooper calling Rhys Williams said they were in Los Angles while on the beach. -<Azes13 18:03, August 19, 2011 (UTC)

Also, out of universe, RTD has said repeatedly that the show is set in Los Angeles, which implies that he intends Venice Beach to be part of Los Angeles in the Whoniverse, just as it is in real life. --173.228.85.35 06:52, August 20, 2011 (UTC)
